Arsenalare expected to prioritise a move to signEberechi EzefromCrystal Palaceonce the deal for Viktor Gyokeres is complete. The Gunners are closing in on a move for Gyokeres, 27, after he arrived in London on Friday to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his £55million plus £8.5m add-ons switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Now that a deal for the Sweden international is all-but done, Arsenal are set to shift their focus to other targets and Eze is right at the top of Mikel Arteta's shopping list for the attacking midfield position. The Independent have reported that Andrea Berta is preparing an offer for Eze, who has made it clear that Arsenal is his preference.

It's added that those close to the player are confident that a deal will be done in the next couple of weeks. Arsenal are hoping to agree a fee that comes to around £60m, rather than his £68m release clause.

The 26-year-old starred for Palace last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions. He scored the winner for the Eagles in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Should Arsenal get a deal done for Eze, he would become the club's SEVENTH signing of the summer transfer window. The Gunners have brought in Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera so far, with Gyokeres expected to be the next through the door.

While Arsenal could look at strengthening their squad even more, the focus is set to shift to getting players out. Oleksandr Zinchenko has been the subject of interest from AC Milan and Inter Milan, while Reiss Nelson might be included in a potential player-plus-cash swap deal for Eze from Palace.

Leandro Trossard has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich and could be another to leave as the Gunners continue to bolster their forward line, while Gabriel Martinelli's long-term future has been put in doubt.

Fabio Viera is expected to struggle for game time with Arsenal strong in the middle of the park and Albert Sambi Lokonga has dropped right down the pecking order, despite travelling out for their pre-season tour.

Indeed, Berta could complete at least six, if not more, transfers after getting both Eze and Gyokeres signed. They might not be the most eye-catching, but getting the right players out are as important as bringing them in.

The Gunners kickstart their Premier League campaign against Manchester United on Sunday, August 17 and Arteta will be hoping his squad can be as finetuned as possible ahead of that fixture.
