BBC forced to apologise to Homes Under The Hammer fans after angry complaints

The was forced to issue an apology to viewers for airing the same episode of two days in a row.

Viewers were left fuming and took to social media to express their upset, which prompted theto pen an apology, stating that it was down to a "scheduling error". The blunder occurred on Thursday 31 October and again on November 1.

A spokesperson for the said: "We received some complaints from viewers after the scheduling of two different programmes resulted in similar content being broadcast on adjacent days. We have looked into this issue and we can see that the same two properties did feature on consecutive days, this was due to a scheduling error."

The statement continued: "We are taking steps to avoid this happening again in the future." The episode saw Martin Roberts in South Wales as had visited a Grade II listed property which was a converted church, in Cambridgeshire. The programme first aired more than twenty years ago and has entertained the public for over 27 series.

Earlier this week, it was reported that when he inspected a small cottage for a segment of the show. While looking around the property and pointing out its flaws, the 67 year old presenter hit his head on the ceiling as he tried to navigate his way through a narrow passage downstairs.

As he hit his head, he set off the smoke alarm - giving himself a shock. And the moment was caught on camera. Tommy said: "Hmmm yes I think there is a slight issue with the ceiling." Once the alarm went off, he added: "Ohhh, god, frightened the life out of me."

The Wales Online reported that, Tommy then went on to point out more issues that would need attention for whoever bought the property. As he entered the bathroom, the restricted space was not lost on him as he quipped: "Yet again, this is a bathroom for the vertically challenged."

He added: "Someone turn on the hot water please, I'll have a bit of a shower. Maybe not." During an inspection of an addition to the house, he told viewers: "This has got to go, this is a problem because look." Comparing his height to the structure, he went on to say: "You can tell by the height of me this is going to be too low."

He added: "They'll have to down and rebuild it but if you're going to do that, you might as well move the line of the building in line with the neighbours and move it all the way across." Sharing the property's potential to viewers, he said: "Going full width and taking out that wall out and opening up the kitchen, then you've got a big kitchen dinner space that leads onto bi-folding doors into the garden."
