Controversial Tottenham vs Man City referee decision made after Man United VAR fury

David Coote, the referee who made headlines with his contentious decision to award West Ham a penalty during stoppage time in Manchester United's 2-1 defeat, will be back on duty just three days after the incident, as confirmed by the EFL and PGMOL. The narrative surrounding United's recent loss took a twist when it was decided that it was time to part ways with manager Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman had been at the helm for over two seasons, securing two cup victories during his tenure,, with Sporting CP's Ruben Amorim being touted as a potential successor.
