This Morning viewers were eagle-eyed as they spotted My Mum, Your dad stars Jenny and Danny, during this Monday's show.

The lovebirds were invited to chat with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about their emerging romance on the popular ITV show.

Throughout the dates on the series, audiences have witnessed Jenny and Danny's connection deepen, culminating in them being the first ones to use the snug - a new feature where parents can enjoy some privacy away from their kids' watchful eyes.

In the midst of their interview with This Morning, Ben probed the pair about their romance's future.

With bated breath from Jenny, Danny teased: "You've got to keep watching haven't we?"

Cat, attempting to coax more details out of them, asked if they could spill any secrets, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Ben, however, noticed how they've spaced themselves apart on the couch, remarking: "They've separated a little bit, I can't quite work it out."

Danny tossed in: "The one spoiler I'll give is that absolutely all of us have come out completely and utterly best friends and will be lifelong friends."

Spectators at home didn't hesitate to chime in, with one viewer commenting: "'It was all filmed so long ago' - what better way to say that you're already distancing yourself from the show and that you're not together and that this is a contractually obligated interview."

Another chimed in: "They cannot stand each other. But obviously contractually obliged by ITV to appear on shows like #thismorning to sell this b****cks."

One person commented: "He doesn't dislike her nearly as much as she dislikes him. #ThisMorning."

Others chimed in on the awkwardness of their interaction as another quipped: "Jenny and Danny didn't hit it off then? Danny will fall off the end of the sofa in a minute."

While another pointed out their physical distance by saying: "May as well have sat them on different sofas they're sitting so far apart!"

Danny himself was candid about his initial reaction when approached to appear on the show as he confessed: "My daughter put me forward secretly! I had an email out of the blue, I read through and thought, 'Absolutely not' and deleted it."

Reflecting on how a month passed before her confession prompted him to reconsider, he explained: "It was a month later she owned up to it and I had to explain that I had no interest in meeting anyone and I had no interest in going on TV."

However, his New Year's resolution led him down a different path as Danny shared a change of heart, he continued: "But I decided at the start of the year to say yes to everything in life and stop shying away."

Their journey on Monday nights show will reveal some initial nerves, with Danny saying stepping into the snug for the first time was quite daunting. The couple shed light on what went on off-air, mentioning that Jenny had nervously babbled about her CV.

Danny teased: "I hope it was nerves, it was the most dull-" only for Jenny to interject, half-offended but with a hint of amusement: "Charming, thanks."
