Primark shoppers say 'chic' £14 handbag 'is so similar' to £1.4k Goyard version

Send Push

Primark shoppers have been quick to snap up a taste of luxury with a handbag many are comparing to luxury designer brand Goyard. However, they only need to spend £14 to get it, as opposed to a four-figure price tag the high-end label usually comes with.

Stars like Rihanna and Hailey Bieber have all been seen sporting Goyard bags lately. However, those wanting to replicate A-list style for themselves don't need to fork out the eye-watering £1,400 cost thanks to Primark.

The high street retailer's 'chic' Monogram Shopper Bag features sturdy straps and "offers ample room to keep your essentials with you at all times". For shoppers wanting some added versatility, the bag comes in a few different sizes including a small tote , mini cross-body and a bigger weekender bag.

Primark's Monogram Shopper Bag comes in both green and a brown or black. Some versions are also available in a denim blue as well.

Fans have been quick to share their finds on social media about the £14 'expensive-looking' bag. One TikTok user has been so impressed they are urging fellow shoppers to "run not walk" to their nearest Primark.

Another was pleased to show the denim blue backpack version. As well as the £5 Boxy Monogram Makeup Bags.

The Parisian brand Goyard has a similar design on offer, made with leather-look cloth. The website does not list prices per item but an average bag in the same style as the Primark version will cost roughly $1,890 (£1,413).

Primark shoppers have been keen to snap up a saving of nearly £1,400 compared to the luxury version. One said: "I literally got the brown one for holiday and got a lot of compliments!"

Another added: "I want them they look so cute!" A third said: "It’s giving Goyard vibes! How stunning!!"

The viral product has been difficult to find in stores some say, so it might be a good idea to plan in advance by using Primark's online search tool to check stock availability.

This should narrow down which shops have the item in stock and those that don't, with some providing the convenient option of Click and collect. You can find your closest Primark stores by using its online tool as well as check if it offers Click and Collect.
