evil "chessboard serial killer" - who was thrown into for horrifically killing 48 people - is set to shock the and make a chilling confession. Alexander Pichushkin, 50, ruthlessly murdered dozens of people, mostly alcoholics, people, and the elderly, in Moscow's Bitsevski Park between 1992 and 2006.
One of the world's most notorious , who has been locked up since 2007, told Russia's penal service on Saturday that he will confess to 11 more . Russian media dubbed Pichushkin the "chessboard killer" because he told detectives he had planned to place a coin on every square of a 64-square chessboard for each of his victims.
Police have long suspected the serial killer had slaughtered more people than the 48 he was convicted of. The sick murderer claimed he killed 63 people and attempted three more murders during his disturbing trial.

The shock update came from a statement published on Telegram from Russia's prison service saying Pichushkin told investigators he was ready to confess to the extra murders, including both men and women. This prolific criminal has been held at the isolated Polar Owl prison in Russia's remote Arctic north, which he previously branded a "concentration camp".
If Pichushkin is convicted of these he could become Russia's second most prolific serial killer on record. This terrifying potential record would put him behind the former Mikhail Popkov, who was convicted of 78 murders.
The sick killer the disturbing way he felt after horrifically using a hammer to murder his victims. Evil Pichushkin bizarrely likened his crimes to sex, in a horror admission.
He said: "It brought me colossal pleasure. It is compatible to an orgasm." The murderer added: "I would get to work, and everyone was discussing my murders. I was exultant inside."
Pichushkin also revealed he befriended his victims before brutally killing them. He said: "I had to get to know the person better, at least to hear his voice, to talk to him, to know his plans and dreams." Despite these chilling admissions, Pichushkin argued he did not deserve the death penalty, which has already been outlawed in , because his killing were "the hand of God".
The disgusting serial killer had even claimed to have 80 female admirers and was planning to marry one of them. Pichushkin has followed in killer policeman Popkov's steps by confessing to more murders after being jailed.
Russia's worst ever serial killer admitted in 2020 to . Popkov, known as The Werewolf, said he confessed to these deaths because he "wanted a holiday".
He had been held at a remote hard labour penal colony called Torbeyevsky Tsentral and was moved nearly 3,000 miles, from the jail to his native Irkutsk region, for the investigation.
He said: "I had been working in Torbeyevsky Tsentral for 10 months and just wanted a vacation, so I wrote a confession. I knew that I would be brought to Irkutsk."
