Selling Sunset star lands new role hosting reality show with a twist

One of the breakout stars of Netflix reality show Selling Sunset has secured a new role as host of a 'throuple' dating reality show.

Chrishell Stause is joining the Australian series Love Triangle as host of a special reunion episode, which should air some time next year.

For those unfamiliar with the premise, the show seems to mix up some familiar elements from other reality dating series and comes from the creative team behind Married At First Sight .

It follows five singles who are all hoping to find a meaningful connection. They are all matched with two potential partners and tasked between selecting a preference.

However, they are only given three days to get to know each other better through text messaging, then they are made to choose one to move in with. The twist is that the one they rejected also moves in with the newly paired couple and they live together.

Episodes see the newly created throuples go on dates and attend couples parties. There is a UK and Australian version available on and Stause is set to feature as host for a special reunion episode for the version down under.

Reacting to the news, she said: "I am such a reality TV dating junkie. I watch all the shows and I was instantly hooked when I watched this show. I love the concept of the show. And when they reached out, I jumped at the opportunity. I love the idea of sitting in the host seat instead of the hot seat."

Stause has appeared as part of the main cast for Netflix's Selling Sunset since 2019.

Her own love life was a regular storyline on the show as episodes saw her deal with her divorce and begin a relationship with real estate broker Jason Oppenheim.

She is now married to Australian singer songwriter G Flip. Stause has also appeared on gameshow Is It Cake? and will be a contestant on the US version of .

Love Triangle UK Series 1 and Love Triangle Australia Series 1 are both streaming on Channel 4 now.
