Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship has garnered lots of attention recently, with fans wondering why Taylor skipped Travis' recent games.

But it turns out the Kansas City Chiefs tight end doesn't ask his friends, family, or partner to attend every game he plays. In a resurfaced interview, the pro football player explained it would be unfair to expect his girlfriend to 'drop everything now' during NFL season.

Speaking to in 2016, years before Travis met Taylor, he said: "If you're dating a professional athlete, I do not believe, at least for me, that you have to go to all of the games."

"I mean, there's eight home games, eight away games, plus playoffs," he continued. "I don't even expect my parents and my friends to make every single game."

That said, Taylor hasn't shied away from cheering on her partner, attending multiple games last season when the pair started dating, and watching two out of the four games he's played so far this season.

With the next leg of the singer's record-breaking Eras Tour right around the corner — the tour resumes in Florida on 18 October — she likely has her own busy schedule to contend with.

Talking to Page Six, a source claimed Taylor's already kicked off her Eras Tour rehearsals. The source also suggested "security concerns" could be a pressing factor for Taylor's team when the Chiefs aren't playing at Arrowhead Stadium.

Whatever the reason behind Taylor's recent absences, fans would love to see her at upcoming fixtures when she can make Travis' games. Equally, they're excited by the prospect of more Travis sightings at the Eras Tour.

The NFL star spent much of the summer cheering on Taylor as she toured Europe, even joining her onstage for a hilarious cameo at London's Wembley Stadium. As far as fans know, it was a one-off, but they'd be delighted to see Travis dancing with Taylor again, and they've planned exactly how he could make his US debut.
