has said 'yes' to Andrea Berta and is keen to join this summer - it has been claimed.
The Gunners are desperate to strengthen their forward line and have identified Gyokeres as a top transfer target. Gyokeres, 26, has scored 43 goals in 43 appearances for Sporting CP this season.
Although Gyokeres has three years left on his Sporting contract, there is an anticipation that he is going to leave the club in the summer window. The Swede, who joined from Coventry City in July 2023, has a £86million release clause in his contract, but Sporting could allow him to leave for as little as £55million.

Arsenal have expressed a desire to secure Gyokeres' services - and Berta has made that one of his first acts since becoming the club's new sporting director. Berta, who arrived following a successful stint at Atletico Madrid, has long admired Gyokeres and feels he can become the club's long-term No.9.
And now, according to Gyokeres as 'already given a yes' to Berta - and likes the project that has been given to him. It's reported that Berta has played a 'decisive role' in convincing Gyokeres, who is eager to get a deal done to move to the Emirates Stadium, despite interest from elsewhere.
While Gyokeres seemingly wants to join Arsenal, the Gunners have still got to get a transfer agreed with Sporting. The Portuguese club only intend to announce any transfer from July onwards, as that would allow them to put the sale in the next financial year. It's added that Arsenal could use players as part of the transaction.
Until the end of the season, though, Gyokeres' full focus will be on Sporting as they are one step away from a cup final while also sitting top of Liga Portugal, although they are only ahead of Benfica on goal difference.
Berta has wasted no time in getting to work after being appointed at the Emirates Stadium. The Italian is planning ahead to the summer transfer window and a new striker is among his main priorities.
Speaking after he was confirmed as Arsenal's sporting director, replacing Edu, Berta said: "I'm thrilled to be joining Arsenal in what is a hugely exciting period for the club.
"I have watched with great interest the way Arsenal has evolved in recent years and I have admired the hard work that has gone into re-establishing the club as a major force in European football, with passionate following around the world.
"The club has great values and has rich history and I'm looking forward to playing my part in shaping a successful future with a great team. I can't wait to get started in my new role and I'm really looking forward to experiencing my first game at Emirates Stadium together with our supporters."
