The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the second session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 from tomorrow i.e. 2nd April. These exams will continue till 9th April. This exam is a big opportunity for the participating candidates. If the candidates get a good percentile in this, then they can get admission to prestigious institutions like IIT, NIT, and Triple IT.
On the other hand, BTech and BE papers will be held on 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8 April while BArch and BPlanning papers 2A and 2B will be held on 9th April. Lakhs of students are busy preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination. They are making every possible effort for a good result. If you are also preparing for this exam, then by keeping some special things in mind, you can perform even better in this exam.
Elimination Technique
The elimination technique proves to be very effective during the exam. If students pay little attention, they can understand those options and tricky questions in which they waste a lot of time. Keep in mind that in questions where basic concepts or formulas are being violated, the option may be completely wrong. For example, if the options in a speed question are in minus, then ignore them immediately because speed can never be in minus. By identifying such options, you can reach the correct answer.
Questions related to equations
If an equation is given in the question, then try putting the given options in it. Wrong answers will not satisfy the equation. If two options appear similar in a question, like 0.345 and 0.354, then there is a possibility that one of these is the correct answer, so you should focus on them only. The benefit of this technique can be found in questions of mathematics and physics.
Focus on high-weightage subjects.
Students should focus more on those subjects from which questions carrying more marks can come. Therefore, students should once again look at the subjects that fetch good marks. Among them – Mechanics (laws of motion, work-energy), electrostatics, optics, and modern physics (photoelectric effect, atomic structure) are important in Physics. Organic chemistry (reaction mechanism, compounds), inorganic chemistry (periodic table, chemical bonding) and physical chemistry (thermodynamics, electrochemistry) are important in Chemistry and Calculus (differentiation, integration), Algebra (matrix, quadratic equations) and Coordinate geometry are scoring topics in Mathematics.
Do not stop at a single question.
Students should take special care that they have to complete the entire exam in the given time, so if they are stuck on any question, then do not spend more than 2 minutes on it. Even if you have completed the entire exam, then focus on it in the remaining time. Time management is very important during exams. You can solve the questions easily by using dimensional analysis in physics, periodic trends in chemistry and substitution in mathematics.
