Earlier in UP, getting a marriage certificate was a bit of a hassle. But now the government has made the whole process easy. Facility to apply online has been provided. For this, now you will not have to go to different offices.
To get a marriage certificate in UP, you have to go to the website of the Stamp and Registration Department of the UP government https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsup/defaultAction.action. There you have to fill the marriage registration form and upload the necessary documents. You also have to give the details of the wedding photos, Aadhar card and witnesses. After this, submit the application.
If your documents are correct and all the information is clear. After this you have to go to the selected office. After the application is submitted, you can go on any working day within 30 days and get your certificate made.
A fee of between Rs 100 to Rs 200 is charged for online application. While applying, keep in mind that you upload the correct documents. Otherwise, the application may be rejected. Due to which you will have to start the entire process again from the beginning.
