Railways ran special trains for Chhath

Chhath festival is celebrated on a large scale in some parts of India. If we talk specifically, this festival has the most importance in Bihar. People who are from Bihar and are living outside Bihar for work, they plan to go back home in some way or the other on the occasion of Chhath. But it becomes very difficult to get tickets in trains on Chhath. In such a situation, people face problems. That is why Railways runs special trains every time on the occasion of Chhath. This time also Indian Railways has made arrangements for the people. Indian Railways has run around 7,500 special trains this year. Every day some special trains of Railways are running on the tracks to take people to their destination on the occasion of Chhath.

Railways' special planning on Chhath

Indian Railways has made special arrangements at important stations to make people traveling by train meet their loved ones on the occasion of festivals. While Indian Railways is running 7,500 special trains this year, 4,500 special trains were run last year. On November 3, 2024, Railways ran more than 188 special trains. 185 special trains are being run on November 4, 2024.

Special control rooms have been set up at Railway Board, Zonal Railway Division and station level to monitor passenger facilities and punctuality of trains at stations. Railways has made special arrangements for the convenience of passengers. Arrangement for entry into the train in a queue. Additional staff and Railway Protection Force personnel have been deployed for crowd management. Railways has kept reserve rakes at some important stations. Arrangements have been made to run them immediately in case of heavy crowd.
