Guwahati (Assam) [India], November 11 (ANI): Ashok Kumar Pansari, Chancellor of Assam Royal Global University (RGU), has been conferred with the `Outstanding Educator of the Year 2024' Award for excellence in Education under the Chanakya National Award Series.
The award, recognizing Dr. Pansari's extraordinary contributions to the field of education, was presented at the 18th Global Communications Conclave held in Mangalore recently.
The award was received by RGU's Vice Chancellor, Professor YSR. Murthy, on behalf of Pansari from Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister of State for Power, New and Renewable Energy Sources.
Welcoming this award, VC, RGU, Professor Murthy said,, "This award is a fitting recognition of Dr. Ashok Pansari's painstaking efforts over the last two decades. He is truly an institution builder having established the DPS, Guwahati in 2003, followed by the Royal Group of Institutions in 2009, Royal Global School in 2012 and the Assam Royal Global University in 2017. He has created excellent educational opportunities in the North Eastern Region which has been facing developmental challenges for the past many decades. He has been able to stem the exodus of students from the region to other parts of the country in search of quality education, often facing hardships in the process."
Professor Murthy further said, "Under Dr. Pansari's visionary leadership, RGU has turned into a hub of educational excellence, creating opportunities for thousands of students in the Northeast. The enrolment of over 12,000 students from KG upwards till Ph.D. in these institutions is transforming the region and is immensely contributing to nation-building."

The award presentation was part of a conclave-themed 'Reconnect,' which featured 11 thought-provoking panel discussions by communication experts, thought leaders, and officials from Europe and the Gulf.
The discussions covered topics like Government PR and Enhancing Public Engagement, the Gig Economy and its Impact on PR and communications, Reconnecting through stories from around the World, managing digital media use, and whether humans and machines have a future together.
For the first time, PRCI organized an exclusive Vice Chancellors Round Table Meet, where ten VCs including the VC of The Assam Royal Global University came together to discuss the `Future of higher education--reconnecting with innovation'.
The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), the organization which instituted the award, is a leading body promoting high standards in PR, communication, and media. With 59 chapters across India and 8 international chapters under the World Communications Council, PRCI's Chanakya Awards celebrate outstanding contributions in various fields and to society at large.
