Indian veteran wrestler Vinesh Phogat has become accustomed to being in the headlines. A few months ago, she was disqualified in the Paris Olympics due to a weight of just 100 grams. As soon as she returned to India, she announced her retirement and joined the Congress party.
But it seems that her troubles are not decreasing, recently the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has issued a notice against Vinesh, let's know what is the whole matter.
Vinesh Phogat received a notice from NADA for not providing her residence information, which is important for dope testing. This notice has arrived in her absence during the scheduled dope test at her home in Kharkhoda village on September 9. Athletes in the Registered Testing Pool (RTP) are required to inform NADA about their whereabouts.
If an athlete is not available at the given venue for a dope test, it is considered a violation of the information rules, although it is not necessarily an anti-doping rule violation. NADA has given Vinesh an opportunity to explain her absence before a final decision is taken. She can either admit the violation or provide proof of her presence at the venue.
