The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Wednesday and Thursday in the city.
Union Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kuamraswamy took to social media platform to blame the Congress government for the poor infrastructure.
"The IT corridor is flooded, roads are impassable, and the city is sinking. This isn't just rain, it's the failure of governance. Congress' weak policies have ruined Brand Bengaluru," said Kumaraswamy.

Areas housing major technology companies like Manyata Tech Park on Outer Ring Road (ORR) and tech hubs like Sarjapur were among the affected. People called for Work from Home to avoid travelling in such weather, but some companies continue to call its employees to office.

Malls remain open despite flooding
Phoenix Mall of Asia on the Kempegowda International Airport Road witnessed extreme water-logging. The newly opened mall has been struggling with severe waterlogging due to rains, leaving parts of the mall submerged. This has caused major disruptions for visitors and businesses, turning the mall into a virtual water pool.

Schools in the Bengaluru Urban district will remain closed on Wednesday due to forecasts of heavy rainfall. "As a precautionary measure in the interest of students, all taluk Anganwadi centres, private/aided primary and high schools of Bengaluru City will be closed on Wednesday," stated the government order.
Traffic congestion
The infamo0us Bengaluru traffic got worse due to the rains and water-logging. Several underpasses were flooded, making it difficult for vehicles to pass through.
