Little gets past the razor-sharp observation skills of Sudha Murty. The writer-philanthropist and Rajya Sabha MP was a guest at ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ along with her husband, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, as well as Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and his wife Grecia Munoz.

The episode, now streaming on Netflix, brought plenty of laughter as the elderly couples captivated the audience with their endearing personalities and open-hearted stories. Narayana and Sudha Murty, celebrated for their humor and down-to-earth nature, engaged in playful banter, infusing the set with energy. Sudha Murty especially stood out, amusing viewers with her witty tips for men on sharing household responsibilities.

Murty’s Advice For Indian Men

The Rajya Sabha MP jokingly observed that Indian men are rather poor at performing household chores. She suggested that men should take a more active role in managing the home along with their wives. Kapil Sharma then claimed that he had washed the dishes that morning, to which Murty asked him to show his hands. Sudha asked him to show his hands, to which Kapil, with a laugh, quipped, “I’ve washed my hands.” To this, Sudha said, “If you had washed dishes, your hands would have shown different lines. Yours are perfectly fine... mere se panga nahi lena!!” The audience burst into laughter, with Kapil playing along with her witty remarks.

In the same show, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal was grilled by Sharma as to why the iconic food app sends saucy messages to customers. He also asked if he sent the romantic messages meant for his wife to customers. After laughing at Sharma’s jokes, the entrepreneur said that he is blessed with a dynamic, young marketing team who come up with several out-of-the-box ideas to engage the customer’s interest.

He explained that his team has no formal education in marketing and came up with innovative ideas to build relationships with the Zomato user base.
