Let us tell you, the festival of Akshaya Tritiya is very special. Lord Banke Bihari is specially adorned on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. Not only this, different things are also offered to him. This offering will be offered by the Goswamis of the temple.
Why are the feet visible once a year?
The feet are visible once a year in Banke Bihari temple. According to the belief, Swami Haridas ji used to receive gold coins from the feet of the Lord every day, with which he used to organize the service and offering of Thakur ji. For this reason, Swami ji had covered the feet of the Lord. According to religious belief, this is the reason why the feet of the Lord are not shown throughout the year and devotees get to see them only on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.

Gold coins were obtained from the feet.
According to a legend, Banke Bihari Ji appeared in Nidhivan about 500 years ago, pleased with the devotion and sadhana of Swami Haridas. Swami Ji used to serve Thakur Ji then. While serving the Lord, he had to face a financial crisis. Once, when Swami Ji woke up, he found a gold coin at the feet of Thakur Ji. He used to arrange for the service and bhog of the Lord with the gold coin. When Swami Ji was short of money, he used to get a gold coin from the feet of Thakur Ji. Therefore, the darshan of Banke Bihari Ji's feet is not done daily. His feet are covered with a cloth. The darshan of the Lord's feet is done only once a year on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
