The Spl. Judge for CBI Cases at Jabalpur has sentenced accused Vishal Kumar Ahirwar, then Sub-Post Master of Bina Bajaria, Sub-Post office, District- Sagar (MP) to 5 years' Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) with a fine of Rs 36.000/- in a case related to fraudulent withdrawals.
CBI had registered the instant case on 17.11.2022 against Vishal Kumar Ahirwar, then Sub-Post Master, Bina Bajaria, Sub-Post office, District- Sagar (MP) on allegations, during the period from 31/05/2016 to 31/12/2019 while working as Public Servant in official capacity of Sub-Post Master at Bina Bajaria, Sub-Post office, Teh.-Bina, District- Sagar (MP) misused his official positions by effecting fraudulent withdrawals from several accounts maintained at Bina Bajaria Sub-Post Office and issued forged passbook.
In this process accused Vishal Kumar Ahirwar caused wrongful loss to the tune of Rs 30,00,000/- (Thirty Lakh) to the Government exchequer and corresponding wrongful gain to himself.
After Investigation, chargesheet was filed by CBI on 28.06.2023 against the accused before Hon'ble Spl. Judge, CBI Cases, Jabalpur (MP). The Court, after trial, held accused guilty and sentenced him accordingly.
