The Maharashtra government will soon establish the country’s finest literary museum to promote the Marathi language, Minister of Marathi Language Uday Samant announced in the Legislative Assembly while responding to a resolution under Rule 293.
Samant affirmed that any insult or disregard toward the Marathi language will not be tolerated, and the government is taking a firm stand to protect its cultural identity. As part of the global promotion of Marathi, the state will organize the Vishwa Marathi Sammelan (World Marathi Convention) in Nashik this year.
To expand the language’s reach, the government is setting up Brihan Marathi Mandals in all 74 countries where Marathi-speaking populations reside.

These efforts signify Maharashtra’s dedication not only to economic growth but also to cultural preservation and the global outreach of the Marathi language.
