Punjabi actress Tania’s father, Anil Jit Singh Kamboj, was shot by two unidentified men on Friday afternoon at his clinic in Kot Ise Khan, Moga, Punjab He was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment and is currently in critical condition. On Friday evening (July 4), Tania's team issued a first statement on her social media handle, urging privacy for the family during this difficult time

The statement read, "On behalf of Tania and family, we want to share that this is an extremely critical and emotional time for her and her family. We kindly request the media to respect their privacy and give them space they need to process this. We urge everyone to be sensitive and refrain from speculation or creating stories around the situation.  Thank you for your understanding and support."
