SBI Bank CBO Recruitment 2025: The State Bank of India (SBI) has resumed the online application procedure for the recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) under Advertisement No. CRPD/CBO/2025-26/03. The decision follows a recent corrigendum that allows applicants from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland who have completed Class 10 or 12 with English as a subject to apply through the North East Circle.
There are 2,964 openings available, including 2,600 normal and 364 backlog positions. Applicants with past officer-level experience at Scheduled Commercial Banks or Regional Rural Banks are qualified. The updated registration window is currently open, running from June 21 to June 30, 2025.

In a significant change, English has been comprised as a designated local language for applicants from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. Candidates from these states who examined and completed English as a subject in Class 10 or 12, and can produce verification in the form of marksheets or certificates, are now entitled to apply for positions in the North Eastern Circle. This update resulted in the reopening of the enrolment portal, which remains intact in all other terms and conditions.
Applicants must be graduates with a minimum of two years of experience as officers in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. The applicant's age has to be between 21 and 30 as of April 30, 2025. The upper age restriction is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 to 15 years for PwBD applicants, depending on the category.

The recruitment procedure begins with an online test, screening, interviews, and a local language proficiency test. The final decision will be determined by a 75:25 weighted ratio of the online test to the interview.
SBI Bank CBO Recruitment 2025: Exam pattern
The Online Test lasts two hours and consists of 120 objective-type questions divided into four categories: English Language (30 points), Banking Knowledge (40 marks), General Awareness/Economy (30 marks), and Computer Aptitude (20 marks). A 30-minute Descriptive Test will follow, consisting of Letter and Essay Writing for a total of 50 points. There are no negative markings for incorrect answers.

The registration cost for general, OBC, and EWS candidates is Rs 750. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are excluded from the fee.
