TIPS FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE BIKING TRIP

Choose the right bike: When picking a bike, consider your riding style and experience level. You can choose anything from lightweight scooters to powerful cruisers.

Royston Rodrigues, who has been riding since 2013, emphasises, “There’s nothing called a right bike or scooter. It’s how you’re going to use the bike or scooter to achieve the purpose that is important.”

Depending on the trails you plan to tackle, select the bike that suits your adventure best, he advises.

Flexcia's choice of routes is interesting. “I personally enjoy the ride from North – Mapusa towards the wildlife sanctuaries like Mhadei, Mollem and Netravali. The roads on these routes have very less traffic,” she says.

For those looking to bike during the monsoon, Flexcia adds, “In the monsoon, these routes to the wildlife sanctuaries lead to many beautiful waterfalls. But as far as bikers are concerned, we pick a nice local spot to eat. My picks are around Valpoi, Netravali and Quepem.”
