Rajasthan social media guidelines: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Rajasthan government has become alert. State Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant has issued strict instructions regarding law and order. He said that this attack is a conspiracy to disrupt the communal peace of the country and no kind of unrest will be allowed to spread in the state.
The Chief Secretary chaired a high-level meeting on law and order in the Secretariat on Tuesday. In the meeting, all the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police were asked to be extra vigilant and keep regular vigil in the districts. He directed that inflammatory posts on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Telegram should be constantly monitored and necessary action should not be delayed.
The Chief Secretary also directed the officers to hold regular meetings in sensitive districts and keep an eye on the ground situation. He said that the elements inciting communal tension should be identified and strict action should be taken against them.
In view of reports of shutdown and protests in some places in the state, all district administrations have been asked to remain alert. Instructions have been given to deploy additional police force especially in religious places, markets, airports, railway stations and crowded areas. Seven people who made offensive comments on the Pahalgam attack on social media have already been arrested.
