Diet for Skin Glow: Eating has a profound effect on the complexion and glow of your skin. Know how the right diet helps in improving the skin.

Diet for Skin Glow: You look at yourself in the mirror, your face looks a little pale, your complexion is not the same as before. Then you remember that you have not slept well for the last few days, you have drunk less water and have eaten just randomly. Now the question arises whether all this really affects the skin and whether what we eat writes the real story of our skin. In today's era, everyone wants glowing, clean, absolutely perfect skin. But this glow does not come only from the products applied externally, your diet also plays an important role behind it.
On this issue, Dr. Upasana Vohra says that skin is the largest organ of our body and it is directly affected by our diet. Skin tone, that is, the color of the skin, mainly depends on the amount of pigment. But your diet can affect this process. There are some nutrients which are necessary for the moisture and glow of the skin.
Vitamin C and Antioxidants
Fruits like lemon, amla, orange, tomato are rich in vitamin C which protects the skin from damage and brings glow. Antioxidants fight free radicals which can make the skin old and colorless.
Beta-Carotene and Vitamin A
Beta-carotene present in carrots, sweet potatoes, and papaya gives the skin a healthy tone. It also helps protect the skin from UV rays.
Hydration means water
Adequate amount of water in the body keeps the skin soft, glowing and young. Dehydration can make the skin look dry, dull and lifeless.
Protein and Healthy Fats
Things like milk, yogurt, eggs, nuts, seeds, and fish help in building and repairing skin cells. Omega-3 fatty acids nourish the skin from within and prevent flaking and dryness.
Avoiding sugar and processed foods
Too much sugar, deep fried or processed foods can cause skin inflammation and breakouts. This can make the skin tone look uneven.
It is not possible to completely change the skin tone, but a healthy diet definitely improves the quality, brightness and glow of the skin. So the next time you make a list of your skin care routine, do not forget to take a look at the fridge and plate as well.
