British tourists find budget penthouse in Benidorm for £17 – but there's downside

Right now, you may be sitting at your desk, dreaming of going away with your best pals. But, sadly, all too often, life gets in the way. Moneycan get absorbed with bills and last-minute important payments, leaving you unable to afford the trip you're dreaming of.

However, one Benidorm-loving man has showed that holidays don't necessarily need to break the bank if you choose the right accommodation. Graham White, who is also known as @benidormgrumet1 on socialmedia, managed to bag a penthouse apartment for just £17 per person per night with his mates.

The 48-year-old was with three pals – and between the four of them, it cost £136 (€160) for two nights or £68 (€80) for one, making it just £17 (€20) per person.

But there was a catch that risks the holiday becoming a little bit too boring for some – especially as the penthouse is located in the party capital, Benidorm.

Graham said that thanks to the low price, he "would stay there again," however, "you couldn't be loud after 11pm".

He continued: "Then again, you’re above the busiest nightclub in Benidorm that closes at 5am, so it's bouncing all night.

"We always find cheap places. The cost of them puts people off, but we have stayed in some hotels that cost a fortune and then had a cheap £160-a-week apartment that is a lot better.

"Don't let the price put you off. We have stayed in some really rough places too - it's not all good when it's cheap - but 90% of the time they are sound".

In a video that amassed more than 750,000 views, Graham showed people around the incredibly cheap place they were staying.

Graham showed off the flat with an open-plan kitchen-living area, two sofa beds, and a TV. There was also a sizeable bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as two single beds in a bedroom with a balcony.

So, looks like two people are drawing the short straw on sofa beds if you decide to stay here, but some people may not mind.

The holidaymaker also showed a wraparound balcony with multiple pieces of furniture and views of the swimming pool, sea and strip.

Graham captioned the post: "Take a look at this Benidorm".

The video has since received 16,000 likes and 700 comments from users, with one person saying there was "too much noise" when they "stayed there".

One person fumed: "I stayed there years ago and didn't get any sleep for four days." Meanwhile, another wrote: "I'd rather stay at home." And another said: "Looks decent, but nobody is getting any sleep in that location."

If you are going to Benidorm, it's probably best to embrace the party and catch up on your sleep on the beach! That sounds like the perfect solution to us.
