Robert Sugden may have found an ally amid his feud with his brother John Sugden on Emmerdale.
In the latest episode of the ITV soap, Robert was seen discovering that someone else in the village didn't always get along with the villain. Amid Robert and John faking a truce, it's clear they are both out to get each other.
Recent scenes have left Robert sure John is hiding something dark, and he's desperate to find out what. Robert wants to expose his sibling to everyone, especially his ex Aaron Dingle who recently married John.
A scene on Thursday night may have teased an upcoming alliance between two characters who both may want to catch John out. Robert wasted no time in asking Mackenzie Boyd about his thoughts on John, and whether he was a fan.
He sensed something had happened between them during a chat with Matty Barton and Mack, with Mack quickly confessing they did not always get along. Of course Mack is yet to find out that the recent slurry leak on the farm pinned on him, that left Moira Dingle with a fine, her farm in tatters and John's nephew Harry rushed to hospital, was not his fault.

During Mack and John's tense feud that went on for weeks, John plotted to kill Mack. When that didn't work he plotted to destroy him, causing the leak and framing Mack.
Everyone believed Mack was to blame including himself, and since then John has claimed to be a friend to him. Now it's Robert that John is feuding with, amid his brother's return to the village recently.
With John's husband Aaron being Robert's ex-husband, the pair are out to get each other and fans are predicting some explosive scenes. But with John's dark crimes and secrets not yet exposed, including him targeting a number of villagers and killing Nate Robinson, could Robert be the one to expose his true colours?
Everyone in the village loves John and sees him as the hero, so Robert is keen for the real John to be rumbled. A scene on Thursday may have teased who might help Robert if he was to plot the downfall of the secret killer.
Matty made a comment in the pub as he shared a drink with Robert and Mack, where he said it was "a shame" that John could not join them. Mack then quipped: "Yeah, a shame indeed."

The remark did not go unnoticed by Matty and Robert, with Matty asking his uncle if he was being sarcastic. When Matty stepped away to get more drinks, Robert took his moment to dig into the possible drama.
Robert said: "Are you not keen then, on John?" Mack downplayed it, and said: "I didn't used to be but he's had my back a couple of times. He still gets on my wick but he's grown on me."
He then told Robert despite the drama with his best pal Aaron: "It's also not so bad having you around either." Could the scenes have hinted a new alliance forming, and possibly the future downfall of John?
