In the caption, she penned: "Absolutely wonderful @louliesanders - always a great show, go see her if she tours near you!" Amy's tragic death in the soap came after six years on the Dales, and the star previously admitted that she didn't initially .
In an exclusive interview with , Natalie said: "I had been asking for meetings about what was coming up for Amy and saying that I'd really like some challenging, new stuff. They knew they had this coming up and they didn't have anything planned for Amy - and that was the direction that I wanted to go in."
She added: "It worked out that this was going to be Amy's exit and I didn't know it was going to be death at first. When they told me, I was like, 'Oh!' It's really hard to know whether you would prefer for your character to die if you're going, or to go in the back of a taxi."
Roxy Shahidi, who has played Leyla since 2008, also opened up about her surprise departure from the soap, confessing to The Sun: "When I first found out, I was very shocked. I had been in the show for a long time, and I wasn't expecting this news.
"Of course, it's sad to see my character die, and I have loved playing Leyla because she is so funny, camp, and a brilliant character. But at the same time, if I had left it another five years, I might not have felt as excited as I do now," she continued.
Roxy concluded by saying she was looking forward to her next chapter. "I've always wanted to explore other things and now I've got the opportunity."
