Meta's yearly Meta Connect event, hosted by Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg, is finally upon us. The two-day event will start with a Connect keynote, which should give us a deep dive into what we can expect from Meta over the next 12 months, including details on the already leaked Meta Quest 3S headset, and some predictable AI spiel.

Meta Connect 2024: how to watch

Meta Connect 2024 will be hosted on the Meta Facebook page and will start at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT today. As with every Meta showcase, like the Meta Connect 2023 event, the live stream will only be available on Facebook. However, highlights from the showcase will be uploaded to the for those who may miss the livestream. Meta Connect 2024: what to expect

Taking a look at the Meta Connect event page over on the Meta website, you can find some further information on the keynote. Zuckerberg will be sharing the latest developments in mixed reality, which suggests he will speak about a new headset, which we delve into further down.

It also states that he will be delving into AI and wearables, which likely won't be gaming-related. This section of the keynote will likely address some AI features that Meta has been rolling out on social media platforms as well as the Meta Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Meta Connect 2024: Meta Quest 3S

The announcement of the Meta Quest 3S will likely happen at Meta Connect 2024, after an image of a Walmart display showcasing the device leaked on Reddit last night, making it seem like it is ready to go. The Meta Quest 3S specifications outlined on the display claim that the headset will feature 1832x1920 pixels per eye lenses, as well as 128GB and 256GB storage options.

The promotional material claims that the device provides 'Unreal experiences' at 'Unreal prices' suggesting this will come in at a much more affordable price point when compared to its predecessor. According to the display, you can also get your hands on Batman: Arkham Shadow for free when you purchase a Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S.
