Nuno Espirito Santo says he understands the frustration of owner Evangelos Marinakis after the chief in the aftermath of Sunday's 2-2 draw with .
Marinakis was seen pacing towards Espirito, who . Forest suffered a blow to their aspirations but secured a spot with the result.
It appears there was anger with the side seeing initially continuing to play after an injury before leaving the field and seeing his side required to play with 10 men. The forward crashed into the post, initially seeming fine to continue.
Espirito Santo appeared to suggest he understood his boss' reaction however. " is emotions, it's difficult to control when we had so much expectation," said Espirito Santo of the owner's presence and complaints.
"The fans were incredible, we wanted to proceed the fight. It's not in our hands now, we appreciate the effort of the players and enthusiasm of the fans. It's not in our hands, but it's not over."

The Forest manager clarified that Marinakis' fury stemmed from the side being required to play shorthanded. "It was due to the situation," he said.
"There was a confusion over the situation of T [Taiwo Awoniyi]. "There was frustration to play 10 minutes with a player that had so much confidence and being positive that he's going to score.
"We made the sub, then played with one man less. That causes frustration, it's obvious."

The former and Spurs boss went on to explain how that situation and the confusion around it unfolded. "When there's a player down, you get information about them. We got information he was okay to keep going so we made a sub," he said.
"Unfortunately, we didn't have another stoppage to change him, and he was not able to continue to help the team.
"We're all frustrated. We felt the goal was not in the flow of the game, but we tried to then go for the winner."
has already called for Espirito Santo to quit due to Marinakis' actions. "Scandalous from that Forest owner," he said.
"Nuno should go and negotiate his exit tonight with him! The Forest fans, players and manager do not deserve that."
Working on , Neville had already offered a stern view. "If I was Nuno, I'd be going and having a very strong word with him, because that is an absolute scandal," he fumed.
"He's just qualified them for a European competition, and from where that club's been, and to be remonstrated with on that pitch in front of the club's fans is an absolute joke."
Marinakis' actions would seem to go against the recent establishment of a blind trust being set up to run Nottingham Forest, which removed Marinakis from control. That move was made so that Forest could comply with UEFA rules with the possibility of the Midlands club and Olympiakos, also owned by the Greek chief, qualifying for the Champions League.
