The highly anticipated second season of Poker Face is set to premiere this week, but what's in store for fans?
Helmed by Knives Out director Rian Johnson, this ingenious and razor-sharp murder mystery series has captivated audiences since its critically acclaimed first season in 2023.
Natasha Lyonne stars as Charlie Cale, an unlikely sleuth with a unique gift for detecting deception, who also happens to be a casino worker on the run.

Following a series of cat-and-mouse encounters with the casino's intimidating head of security Cliff LeGrand (played by Benjamin Bratt), and solving several murders along the way, Charlie finds herself back on the move after another dramatic twist.
Here's a rundown of what to expect from the second instalment of Poker Face, reports .

The new season kicks off with Charlie on the run once again, this time after receiving a menacing call from crime boss Beatrix Halp (Rhea Perlman), who's embroiled in a turf war with four other powerful crime families.
Having turned down Beatrix's offer to work for her, Charlie hits the road in her trusty Plymouth Barracuda, solving more murders as she travels.
According to the season two synopsis: "With her extraordinary ability to detect when someone is lying, Charlie Cale continues her journey on the road across the country, investigating crimes along the way."
It seems like more of the same for Charlie, but she'll still be keeping a watchful eye out for the crime syndicate hot on her heels.
Natasha Lyonne is back at the helm as Charlie, joined by a new roster of notable guest stars.
Big names making special appearances include Cynthia Erivo from Wicked, Awkwafina from Crazy Rich Asians, Melanie Lynskey from Yellowjackets and Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad.
Other stars joining the fun include Method Man, Justin Theroux, Kumail Nanjiani and John Mulaney.

New episodes of Poker Face will start streaming on Sky Go and NOW from Friday, 9th May at 3:00 PM BST.
This season has 12 episodes, with the first three available this week.
The three-part premiere includes the episodes The Game Is a Foot, Last Looks and Whack-A-Mole.
New episodes will then be released weekly until the season finale, The End of the Road, on Friday, 11th July.
