This Morning was thrown into chaos when Joanna Page had to be cut off mid-interview on Thursday. The actress 48, made an appearance on the ITV chat show alongside hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley to talk about her new memoir Lush! but things went slightly awry when the presenters had to move away from her to fit an ad-break and the weather in.
Joanna, who shot to fame when she was cast as Stacey West on the hit BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey, had just finished telling a story about how devastated she was when she failed to land the part of Baby in a West End revival of Dirty Dancing just before she landed the audition for what became her signature role. She had also spoken about her time working on Love Actually alongside stars such as Dame Emma Thompson, Martine McCutcheon and Hugh Grant.
But after Joanna had got to the end of her anecdote, there was no time left before the programme had to go to the weather and Ben had to cut her off almost mid-sentence.

He said: "We're gonna keep talking to her, you're gonna get the weather. See you on the other side!" as Cat begged viewers to "Come back!" afterwards."
One back on track, Ben told viewers: "So look, Joanna was mid-flow when we threw you mercilessly into this book! But there is just so much in this book. Can we please start with Gavin & Stacey?" As fans will know, Joanna starred in the sitcom that initially aired from 2007 until 2010.
The programme, which also starred Mathew Horne, Ruth Jones and James Corden, and it all wrapped up in a ratings winner of a finale last Christmas. Reflecting on the success of it all, Joanna said: "Oh my gosh, it's been wonderful! It brings tears to my eyes and when I first read it, I thought - this is it. This is me, this is my family!
"I remember getting to London, to Leicester Square, seeing Ruth straight away and thinking she was wonderful. I went in to audition, and apparently all I did was talk about missing out on Dirty Dancing.
"I just talked and talked, read the scenes and then went. Then Ruth told me I needed to do a Cardiff accent because Stacey's from Cardiff. So I ignored it and went back into the room to do a chemistry read with Mathew Horne, and I was doing it very Welshy. Ruth took me out of the room and said 'What on earth are you doing?'
"I said 'I'm trying to do a Cardiff accent!' and she said it sounded terrible. She said 'Just go in and just be you!' And I went in with Mathew, read the scene, where they go to the nightclub. We did that one. And that was it!"
Since her star turn as Stacey West, Joanna has become a television favourite , having made appearances in staples like Doctor Who and Midsomer Murders. As herself, she recently fronted Joanna Page's Wild Life and appeared on Cooking With The Stars.
From 2023 until 2024, she enjoyed a stint as a panellist on Loose Women and them teamed up with EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy for a short-lived podcast called Off the Telly.
