Win Win champ had just 1p in account before bagging £1m cash prize

The winner of one of the UK’s biggest telly prizes went from having just 1p in her bank to banking a fortune worth over £1million.

Sienna McSwiggan says she’s on cloud nine after walking away with the top prize on ITV’s Win Win tonight (October 11) - which included £1million in cash, two cars, two luxury holidays, a trip to Australia to see The Ashes and Take That tickets.

The 20-year-old hotel manager from Halesowen, West Midlands, cried tears of joy when she was crowned the victor, saying the money would change the life of her and her family.

“I’ve literally got a penny in my account,” she admitted. “I’m over the moon. It doesn’t feel real. It feels like I'm in a dream and someone's gonna wake me up in a minute.

“Life is really hard at the moment. The cost of living… It is a struggle. I've not grown up with privileges. At my age, it's so hard to decide what you want do in life. It's difficult to even get on the property ladder.

“I don't have any savings. I have no idea about how the hell I'm gonna buy a house. This will help so much.” Vowing to share the cash and prizes among those closest to her, top of the list is her mum Lisa.

“I really would love to buy her a house,” shared Sienna. “She's done so much for me my whole life. She didn't work when I was younger, my dad did, but she didn't only because she wanted to grow up with me, look after me.

“She's a teaching assistant, so as you can imagine the wage isn't great. I just can't wait to treat her because she deserves it so much.” She’s sending her grandad and uncle off to Oz to watch the cricket.

Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins host the interactive quiz show. Over the last five weeks on Win Win, when a player in the studio got the chance to trade a prize for a place in the final, a viewer at home also won a coveted spot on Millionaire's Row for the final, with 19 people in total making it through.

It was a nail-biting finale tonight, with Sienna making it through to Millionaire’s Row three times, losing out in the head to head twice only to walk away with the spoils at the end.

She recalled: “It was like highs and lows, highs and lows, and then obviously the ending, I was like, ‘Is this real? Is this a dream? Then the fireworks went off, all the confetti come out. I was like, ‘Someone pinch me.’”

Optimist Sienna has put her success down to manifesting the win - the act of visualising what you want. And she says it’s not the first time it’s worked.

“I didn't expect to win but at the same time I kind of did because I've been manifesting it so hard,” she explained.
“I have to pretend that I've already got it, I feel it through my whole body and it just happens.

“I saw my boyfriend in a bar and I said to my friend, ‘He's gonna be my boyfriend’. Then a few months later, he pops up on my Hinge. We matched, then we got together.”

Boyfriend Ethan, who she lives with in Tamworth, Staffordshire, was in the audience watching on as Sienna bagged the top prize.

Earlier in the game. Sienna won a trip to the Maldives but traded it in for a chance to be in the final, much to Ethan’s disapproval.

“He was fuming for about two working days,” laughed Sienna. “I thought, ‘Well, I've come all this way and I'm just gonna win.’” And she did, eventually taking home that very trip.

The pair are planning to jet off on that holiday imminently and process the life-changing moment. One thing Sienna has decided though is that she won’t be returning to work.

“I’m not going to carry on working at the hotel,” she revealed. “Even my boss said to me, ‘Sienna, look, if you do win that, I know you're not coming back.’”

She’s eyeing up a career change - and a splurge purchase. “I want to open up my own little beach bar in Ibiza. I've been three times this year. I'm obsessed with the place. And there’s also a yellow Chanel bag I've wanted it for so long.”
