A video of a girl being publicly attacked in a housing society in Noida has gone viral. The man grabbed the girl's hair and slapped her. The accused Surya Bhadana has been arrested.
Many countries have many laws to prevent violence against women, yet atrocities against women in public places and homes are not decreasing. Recently a video surfaced from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in which a young man is beating a young woman in front of local people. This video went viral on social media very fast and many people reacted strongly to it.
In the video, in the light of the street light, a young man is holding the hair of the girl with one hand and slapping her hard on the face with the other hand. The helpless girl is seen crying. When the young man hits the girl's face, some people nearby come and catch the young man and take him away from there.
This video has been viewed by more than eight lakh people. Many people have commented on the video and demanded that the young man be arrested and sent to jail. According to reports, a man named Surya Bhadana beat up his girlfriend in public in Omaxe Palm Green Society in Noida. An FIR was registered in this case at Dadri Police Station in Greater Noida and Surya Bhadana was later arrested. Police said that the young man and the girl knew each other from before and were batch mates in college. At present, it is not clear why the young man attacked the girl.
"Such news keeps coming from Noida's apartments and housing societies. Noida's high-rise buildings are full of such uncivilized people. Sometimes there is news of a dog bite, sometimes news of a girl being beaten up, sometimes news of a guard being murdered. Are there no civilized people left in Noida?" a viewer wrote angrily.
