International Yoga Day is being celebrated not only in India but all over the world today. On this occasion, India will showcase yoga's soft power to the world. On this occasion, various events will be organized regarding yoga in 1,300 cities in 191 countries. Through these events, the ancient tradition and soft power of the country will be demonstrated.

PM Modi participated in a yoga session.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the International Yoga Day 2025 across the country from Visakhapatnam. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also participated in this yoga session.
Along with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he feels proud when he sees that Divyang friends are reading yoga scriptures in Braille script, scientists are doing yoga in space, and youth are participating in the Yoga Olympiad in villages. He said that excellent yoga programs are also going on on naval ships. From the steps of the Opera House to the peak of Everest and the vastness of the ocean, the message is the same - Yoga is for everyone, no matter who you are, or what your background or ability is.
Yoga session held at Srinagar's Lal Chowk
BJP organized International Yoga Day celebrations at Ghanta Ghar in Srinagar's Lal Chowk. A large number of people turned up to participate in the yoga session.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that I had a terrible accident. I was lying on the hospital bed and wondered if I would be able to walk like others. Yoga made me so capable that today I can walk, move around, and work and it doesn't feel like my body is injured.
