India slams Shehbaz Sharif's UNGA speech: Shehbaz Sharif repeatedly spouted lies at the UNGA regarding Operation Sindoor. India then exercised its right to reply and held him accountable. Indian diplomat Petal Gehlot exposed each of Sharif's lies.

India on Shehbaz Sharif UNGA Speech: India exposed Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's false and hollow claims regarding Operation Sindoor at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Indian diplomat Petal Gehlot once again exposed the neighboring country before the world on the issue of terrorism. She clearly stated that Pakistan talks about peace with India. If it is truly sincere, it should immediately close all terrorist camps and hand over the terrorists wanted in India to us.

India exposed each lie one by one

Using her right to reply at the UNGA, diplomat Petal Gahlot countered each of Shahbaz Sharif's lies. She said, "This House has witnessed this morning a ridiculous theatrics by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, who has once again glorified the terrorists who are at the heart of his foreign policy. No amount of theatrics and lies can conceal the facts."

She said that this is the same Pakistan that tried to shield a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organization from responsibility for the brutal killing of tourists in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on April 25, 2025. A country that has a tradition of spreading and exporting terrorism has no qualms in pushing the most absurd narratives.

Pakistan exposed by mentioning Laden

During this, Petal Gehlot also appeared to mention Osama bin Laden. She said, "Remember that Pakistan sheltered bin Laden for a decade while pretending to be a partner in the fight against terrorism. Pakistani ministers recently admitted that they have operated terrorist camps for decades. It should come as no surprise that this duplicity is being repeated, this time at the level of its Prime Minister."

The Indian diplomat continued, "A picture tells a thousand words. We have seen numerous photographs of terrorists killed by the Indian Army in Bahawalpur and Muridke terrorist hideouts during Operation Sindoor. When senior Pakistani military and civilian officials publicly glorify and pay tribute to such notorious terrorists, can there be any doubt about the tendencies of this regime?"

She said that the Pakistani Prime Minister also presented a bizarre account of the India-Pakistan conflict. The record is clear on this matter. Until May 9th, Pakistan was threatening further attacks on India, but on May 10th, the army directly appealed to us to stop the fighting.

'...then Pakistan can enjoy victory'

Gehlot said the Indian Army destroyed several Pakistani air bases. Photos of that damage are publicly available. If destroyed runways and burned-out hangars appear to them as a victory, as the Prime Minister has claimed... then Pakistan can enjoy it. The truth is that, as has happened in the past, Pakistan is responsible for terrorist attacks on innocent civilians in India. We have exercised our right to protect our people.

Responding to Shahbaz Sharif's offer of talks, she said, "The Pakistani Prime Minister has spoken about his desire for peace with India. If he is truly sincere, the path is clear. Pakistan should immediately close all terrorist camps and hand over terrorists wanted in India."

She also retaliated against the Hindutva statement

Gehlot also hit back at Sharif's statement on Hindutva. She said it was ironic that a country that practices hatred, bigotry, and intolerance would be preaching to this gathering on matters of religion. Pakistan's political and public discourse reveals its true nature. Clearly, they need to look in the mirror. Sharif, at the UNGA, described Hinduism as part of a hateful ideology and called it dangerous for the world.

'India will not bow to nuclear blackmail'

The Indian diplomat reiterated in clear terms that India and Pakistan have long agreed that any outstanding issues between them will be resolved bilaterally. There will be no role for any third party in this regard. This is our long-standing national position. Where terrorism is concerned, we are making it clear that there will be no distinction between terrorists and their sponsors. Both will be held accountable, and we will not allow terrorism to be promoted under the guise of nuclear blackmail. India will never bow to such threats. India's message to the world is clear: there must be zero tolerance for terrorism.
