PTI, Islamabad. Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, who suffered a defeat in Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian Army as a retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, is refusing to stop issuing threats. Now he has justified terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and said that his country will always stand with the people of Kashmir in their struggle.
Munir, who was recently made a Field Marshal, also said that India will be given a befitting reply in case of any future attack. Addressing the passing out parade at the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi on Saturday, Munir said, 'What India calls terrorism is actually a legitimate and legal fight for freedom and is recognized by international law.'
What did Munir say about Kashmir? He also said- 'Those who tried to suppress the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and end their fight instead of finding a solution have made this movement more relevant through their acts.' The Pak Army Chief said that Pakistan will always stand with the people of Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
Munir said- 'Pakistan is a strong supporter of a just solution to the Kashmir issue in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.' Let us tell you that earlier the Pakistani Army Chief had described Kashmir as Pakistan's 'jugular vein'.
'Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of India'India has repeatedly told Pakistan that the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were, are and will always remain its integral parts. Relations between the two countries have soured after the Indian government revoked Article 370 of the Constitution on August 5, 2019, ended the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and divided the state into two union territories.
Munir, who has been badly defeated by India in recent clashes, claimed that Pakistan has proven itself as a "pure stabilizer in the region" after twice giving a befitting reply to Indian military attacks. He was apparently referring to the 2019 Balakot strike after the Pulwama terror attack and Operation Sindoor after the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
Pakistan is not improving even after being defeatedHe said- 'Despite serious provocation, Pakistan showed restraint and maturity and demonstrated its commitment to regional peace and stability. Due to this, Pakistan has played the role of a pure stabilizer in the region.'
The Pak Army chief said that we are definitely building our comprehensive national strength. Any enemy taking advantage of Pakistan's perceived weakness under the illusion of miscalculation will be given a quick and very befitting reply. At the same time, he reiterated the commitment of the armed forces to end all forms of terrorism.
Pak Foreign Minister Dar also expressed his anger on IndiaPakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has also vented his anger on India after his country's recent defeat. Reiterating Pakistan's support on the Kashmir issue, he said that lasting peace in South Asia will depend on a just and lasting solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. At a program, he said that the result of the recent fight with India highlights the reality that India can neither succeed in intimidating Pakistan nor can it force it.
Dar said that Pakistan gave a 'quid pro quo plus' response to India, i.e. it took revenge for its action. Not only this, Dar expressed his determination to protect Pakistan's rights and its rights under the Indus Water Treaty. On the other hand, he said that Pakistan is committed to peaceful and cooperative relations with all the neighboring countries including India.
