Former Pak PM Imran Khan made a big announcement amid tension with India- 'I swear on the whole of Pakistan...'

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said, "This time I will not just call on Islamabad - I will call on the whole of Pakistan to stand up."

Imran Khan VS Shehbaz Sharif: Pakistan's jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday (May 27, 2025) said that he would prefer to spend his entire life in jail rather than succumb to tyranny and oppression. He said this in clear reference to the military establishment. Imran, who has been in jail for nearly two years in several cases, also announced the launch of a protest movement. Khan said in a post on 'X', "I would prefer to spend my entire life in a prison cell rather than succumb to 'fironiyat' and 'Yazidiyat' (tyranny and oppression). The rule of law is the main goal of my movement, which will end the law of the jungle in Pakistan.''

Imran Khan said, "When all doors are closed for a political party, when injustice is done to its members and the judiciary is not independent, then peaceful protest is the only way left." Khan instructed his party members, supporters and workers to be ready for a strong nationwide movement. Imran Khan said, "This time I will not call only Islamabad - I will call the whole of Pakistan to rise." Khan warned the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and said that he knows about those who are playing from both sides.

I know who is playing both sides

Imran Khan said, "I have full information about those who are playing from both sides - the establishment and the PTI. There will be no place in this movement for those who do not follow the party's instructions. Whenever I get a chance, I will hold internal elections of the party." Imran Khan said, "If CCTV footage is shown, the incidents of May 9 (2023) will be solved in just half an hour. The real culprits are those who have stolen the CCTV footage. If they (military establishment) really believe that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is responsible for the May 9 incident, then they should release the footage."

I have not been given books for two and a half months

The former Pakistan PM said that he is being denied basic facilities in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail. Khan said that he is not allowed to talk to his children and his sisters are not being given the right to meet him. Imran Khan said that for some unknown reason he has not been allowed to read new books for the last two and a half months. Khan said that his wife Bushra Bibi has been sentenced just to trouble him, what can be more disgusting than this?
