The re-release of the Japanese-Indian anime film Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, originally scheduled for October 18, has been postponed. The film’s team announced the change via social media, indicating that the new release date will be determined soon.
Geek Pictures India, in collaboration with AA Films and Excel Entertainment, is distributing the film in India. They explained that the decision to delay the release is aimed at reaching a wider audience.
"Geek Pictures extends its heartfelt gratitude to the people of India for the overwhelming love and encouragement shown for Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama," the company stated.
"In response to the incredible enthusiasm from fans nationwide, we have decided to adjust the film's release date from the previously scheduled 18th of October to a new date in the near future. This decision reflects our commitment to ensuring that this iconic masterpiece reaches every corner of our vast country," the company added.
The film will be available in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu. Originally released at the International Film Festival of India in 1993, it later gained popularity on television, especially remembered by many as the "Cartoon Network Ramayana."
