Caitlin Clark's private conversation with Christie Sides leaked as details emerge

Indiana Fever forward Lexie Hull has revealed how Caitlin Clark received star treatment from ex-coach Christie Sides. The newly-crowned Rookie of the Year broke countless records as the Fever reached the WNBA playoffs for the first time since 2016

On , when probed for stories about Clark, Hull replied: "Yeah, I do. There was one... practice, Christie turns on loud music. Because... we knew the [opposing] arena was going to be loud.

"And so she turns on this loud, loud music, and Caitlin screams, 'Can someone turn it off? It's giving me a migraine!' And everyone's like 'Uh, what?' And Christie reacted and said 'What did you say?' And [Caitlin] repeated it.

"And all of us were... dying, because if someone, if I would have said that, if anyone on our team would have said that, and then been asked 'What did you say?' And you repeat it, no one else is repeating it. But she did. It was the funniest thing. We were all on the floor, rolling on the ground laughing."

Clark's outburst may have tickled her team-mates but Sides clearly let the incident slide. She was a stalwart throughout the Fever's season, starting every one of the 42 matches until bowing out to the Sun in the playoffs.

Subsequently, the Fever management opted to part ways with coach Sides after two seasons at the helm, despite steering the roster to the postseason for the first time since 2016. White, who won WNBA Coach of the Year in 2023, was in charge of the Fever at that time.

While Clark focuses on honing her golf skills during the off-season following an incredible rookie campaign, Hull is the newest recruit to the innovative Unrivaled 3v3 basketball league. The brainchild of WNBA icons Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, the inaugural Unrivaled season will begin in January.
