The first day of the Randox Festival lived up to expectations and day two certainly followed in its footsteps. Jonbon was the star of the show with an impressive triumph in the Melling Chase to retain the title he won last year. There were also victories for Caldwell Potter, Wellington Arch, Salvator Mundi, Gentleman De Mee, Julius Des Pictons and She's A Saint.
It was Ladies Day at Aintree, meaning there were no shortage of elaborate outfits on display. Thousands of women turned up dressed to impress in all sorts of intricate hats, stunning dresses and extravagant heels. Katie Morris, Lucas Nurney and Rachel Ellis were crowned the winners of the Ladies Day Style Awards, impressing the panel of judges.
