Liverpool target Jeremie Frimpong's agent shares update as talks 'advance'

Frimpong would reportedly be of interest to Liverpool, especially considering his release clause of approximately £30m that can be activated this summer. The Dutch international has already shared his thoughts on the Anfield club.

This news comes as Frimpong's agent, Jeffrey Lemmert, posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story.

Frimpong has quickly become a key player in former Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen team over the past two-and-a-half years. In total, he has made 190 appearances in Germany, winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal cup double by going unbeaten domestically in 2023/24.

On Sunday, Die Werkself played their final home match of the season, during which Frimpong scored and celebrated with his manager, who announced he will be leaving at the end of the season.

"Lived it. Loved it. Farewell, Coach [love heart emoji]," he penned in a heartfelt tribute on his personal Instagram page.
