Meghan Markle praised for 'under-the-radar' move which could bring 'change'

Meghan Markle has been praised for making a key change which could positively impact a number of businesses.

Celebrity stylist Martine Alexander that the duchess, 43, is embracing current fashion trends by wearing oversized and baggy clothes.

However, instead of just wearing clothes from well-known brands, Meghan is also wearing items from smaller businesses, giving them the much-needed exposure to become a successful business.

She said: "I love that she is wearing under-the-radar brands.

"One of the things that I adore doing is giving small businesses the exposure they deserve."


She added: "It's so rewarding for the stylist, the client and the brand - that's why I think Meghan is doing it. Her appearance could change a business.

"When I dressed Rebecca Adlington in a small business brand for the Olympics, the outfit sold out. To be able to do that for somebody else is the most incredible thing."

The insight comes after Meghan has recently been spotted wearing a number of oversized clothes, whether that be a baggy shirt, long dress or linen wear.

During the duchess wore a number of more relaxed garments that trailed along the ground around her.

This included a long sunshine yellow sleeveless gown and a long sleeveless peach-coloured dress.

It comes amid rumours that Meghan is working with stylist Jamie Mizrahi, however this is unconfirmed.

Martine said: "I don't know whether Meghan works with a stylist. If she does, the stylist may have contacted PR companies or brands directly to ask if they can borrow pieces."

The oversized look isn't currently being replicated by other members of the Royal Family back in the UK.
