Even though has tried to build a name for herself in everything from podcasting and TV production to influencing, a leading brand expert has pointed out the one reason why so many of the Duchess's projects have failed. Ever since she and stepped back from their senior royal roles in 2020, Meghan has launched a number of ventures - including , several Netflix series, her , two podcasts, a shop where people can buy what she wears and a lifestyle brand.
It is the sheer volume and speed at which these projects appear that has been her downfall, according to an expert. "Nothing feels particularly rounded in actual knowledge, so people begin to turn off", brand and culture expert, Nick Ede told .
"Meghan hasn't really earned her stripes yet. She's not the fashionista yet, she's not the cook yet, she's not the make-up expert yet. Nothing feels particularly rounded in actual knowledge, so people begin to turn off," Nick added.
"We've been on this journey with Harry and Meghan, but when we get to the crux of it, it never goes anywhere.
"Everything feels like a scattergun approach. Nothing seems thought out or strategised. She and Harry seem to think, 'Yes, I'll take the money, and work out what to do afterwards.'"
Nick's comments come after the Duchess released the second episode of her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast on Tuesday and was joined by Indian American lawyer and politician Reshma Saujani.
Speaking to Reshma about her experience with miscarriage, Meghan said: "I have spoken about the miscarriage we experienced. And I think in some parallel way, when you have to learn to detach from the thing that you have so much promise and hope for and to be able to be OK at a certain point to let something go, something go that you plan to love for a long time."

Reshma responded: "Yeah. I feel like you are reading my diaries as that's really insightful as I don't think anyone has said it that way for me but that's right because here I was for so many years trying to get pregnant, having miscarriages because I had auto-immune issues and I got into this kind of scary habit where I would be in a doctor's office and they'd be like, you have no heartbeat."
Reshma added a heartbreaking comment: "And I should have just gone home and gone to sleep and curled up with my husband. But I would just take a breath and I would just show up in a living room, on a stage and just perform. And often times I was just performing to these children that I desperately wanted and I just got really good at that but it was eating me up inside."
