Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are likely to be facing a tough time at the moment as a result of the scandals surrounding their parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. While Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, haven't seemed to have had their reputations tarnished as a result of scandals involving their parents, it will no doubt bring up a lot of conflicting feelings for them.
This is because the sisters are having to watch the royal drama unfold, with their parents having lost their use of their royal titles just last week. They are now having to watch as Andrew, 65, and Sarah, 66, face potential eviction from Royal Lodge in Windsor - the place they have lived together, despite being divorced.
Although both Beatrice and Eugenie get on well with their uncle King Charles and their cousin Prince William, the decisions being made by the monarch and first-in-line to the throne regarding Andrew have no doubt caused them some upset.
This therefore could affect the way the sisters view their uncle and cousin, even if they see the "logic" behind their decisions, especially as Andrew continues to face accusations - which he denies - following his previous friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking about how Eugenie and Beatrice's feelings about the King and William may have changed as a result of their father's royal downfall, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams exclusively told the Daily Express: "The consequences of the scandal surrounding Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are unforeseeable. This will partly depend on what the Epstein files might contain. It will also, since they are Andrew and Sarah's daughters, partly depend on how Beatrice and Eugenie perceive how their parents are treated.
"Prince William reportedly favours a policy of totally removing Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, bar a church service, from all royal events. Events are moving very fast and that is effectively the position now.
"It isn't likely to endear the King and Prince William to Beatrice and Eugenie, but they have careers and families and obviously can see the logic behind it. The matter of titles has yet to be sorted. Vital royal work is being overshadowed by this scandal."
Andrew and Sarah have been keeping a low profile at their Windsor home over recent weeks, with Beatrice seen visiting her parents just days ago without sister Eugenie.
However, public criticism of the couple is not yet over, with calls intensifying for them to leave the 30-bed Royal Lodge mansion, which Andrew signed a 75-year lease on in 2003.
It is believed Buckingham Palace could release a statement within days about the Royal Lodge saga, with Andrew and his ex-wife expected to be moving elsewhere.
While Andrew and Sarah are no longer using their royal titles, Beatrice and Eugenie still have their princess title.
