Sunday Brunch's Tim Lovejoy gets 'awkward' as Tom Read Wilson points out host's new look

star Tim Lovejoy didn't quite know how to react when guest Tom Read Wilson pointed out his new look which some viewers described as "horrid".

The morning show returned for another outing on Sunday, October 6, with hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer joined by a string of familiar faces.

Among those was Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson who was eager to point out the fact Tim was wearing glasses.

He said: "This is my first time here where you've had ocular framing."

Initially unsure of what he was referring to, Tim said: "What does that - oh glasses!"

"Very becoming. Very", flirtily commented as Tim shyly looked down as he replied: "Oh thank you very much."

Tom wasn't done though as he continued: "You're like a lovely Pinot noir, you just get better and better."

Tim shrugged and said "OK", trying to put an end to all of the attention but Simon wasn't willing to let it stop just yet.

He asked Tom: "Can you, as ever, continue with this, because I love how awkward Tim gets when you're on the show, it's absolutely magnificent."

At this point, comedian and fellow guest Josh Widdicombe pointed out: "Tim's moved further away", much to everyone's amusement.

Tom then told Josh: "He makes me go rather gooey, I have to say."

After an awkward pause, Tim said: "OK. I don't like complements -", before Tom went on to point out both Josh and fellow guest Jenny Eclair's own spectacles.

"There's some pretty fabulous ocular framing going on here."

Josh wasn't having any of it though as he joked: "No no. It's too little too late if you ask me. We all know who you prefer!"

Tim's awkwardness didn't go unnoticed by fans either with someone writing on X, formerly Twitter: "Tim Lovejoy couldn't look any less comfortable around Tom Read Wilson or be any ruder if he tried. What's he worried about??"

Another said: "Tom Read Wilson is so interesting ..I could listen to him all day!.. p.s Tim mate you've pulled!!"

While a third wrote: "I love Tom he is making Tim uncomfortable."

Unlike Tom, not everyone was as keen on Tim's glasses: " I have questions, chief among them is, what has Tim Lovejoy got on his face?", a viewer asked.

Another agreed: "Do TV people ever look in a mirror when choosing glasses? Seems many don't."

With a fellow fan of the show writing: "Can someone tell Tim Lovejoy how tragic his glasses are. They are flipping horrid."
