Three men have been apprehended on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman's body on an industrial estate in Smethwick on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified by West Midlands Police as Shara Miller, whose body was discovered off Woodbourne Road shortly after 6.10am on August 11. Despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save the 41-year-old, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The three suspects, aged 29, 38 and 31, remain in custody following their arrest in connection with Ms Miller's death. This tragic newscame as a £10,000 bounty was issued for historic murder fugitive Kevin Parle.
Detectives have said that Ms Miller was believed to have been involved in sex work around Soho Road in Birmingham. They suspect she may have been transported to Woodburn Road from that location and that her death occurred in the early hours of the morning.
Specialist officers are currently providing support to Ms Miller's grieving family, reports Birmingham Live.
West Midlands Police have issued an appeal for potential witnesses who might have information about Ms Miller's movements prior to 1am to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Alastair Orencas stated: "We have made some significant progress in our investigation and now have three men in custody."
The West Midlands Police officer continued: "However, we still want to hear from anyone who saw Shara or spoke to her in the hours leading up to her death.
"We understand she was involved in sex work around the Soho Road, Birmingham area, and believe she may have been driven to Woodburn Road from that location.
"If you have any footage or information, and haven't yet come forward, please contact us."
Police have ramped up patrols in the vicinity of Soho Road where Ms Miller was discovered.
Members of the public with any information are urged to contact the police by dialling 101 and quoting log 622 of 11/8/25. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be given by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
