Wednesday bosses have revealed Pugsley's 'new powers' and Nevermore roommate ahead of season 2.
Wednesday fans are waiting for the highly anticipated second season of the much loved show. It's been a long three years for viewers after Wednesday first captivated audiences worldwide.
With its fresh take on the Addams Family universe, the first season saw Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) navigate her new life at Nevermore Academy, a place for supernatural misfits. From werewolves to vampires, the academy saw it all.
Despite initially being an outsider, Wednesday soon became an integral part of the school system, and found herself embroiled in her own huge investigation. And Wednesday, season 2 is just weeks away, promising more complex and dark storylines.
Now, Wednesday bosses have opened up about Pugsley, who fans will see more of this season. Pugsley Addams is Wednesday's younger brother.
Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have teased fans with what they can expect. Pugsley is set to be welcomed to Nevermore as a student himself, but time will tell hos Wednesday reacts to the news.
Alfred Gough teased: "One of the things we learned in Season 1 is how much people love the Addams family, and there really isn't a lot of Addams family lore that exists. We love having the open playing field of creating the Addams family myth and delving deeper, so we wanted to bring them to Nevermore."
He added: "Also, Pugsley's come as a student, so now Wednesday has to deal with her younger brother being here. And as Miles said, there's a lot of family secrets that start to get uncovered."

Admitting Wednesday is "not feeling great about the idea", Gough added: "I don't think anybody really wants their little brother with them at school. Pugsley is somebody who's always struggled to make and have friends.
"He didn't have any friends in Normie school and that's what he really wants."
A "socially awkward" Pugsley finds himself "trying very hard" but finds himself sharing a room with Eugene (Moosa Mostafa). And things don't go to plan, as Pugley soon finds himself raising a zombie.
Gough said: "He's also rooming with Eugene (Moosa Mostafa), who's cool now because he helped save the school. Then, of course, in a typical Addams scenario, Pugsley finds a friend by ultimately raising a zombie."
Tim Burton himself speaks about Pugsley being an "outcast among outcast" as he said: ". He comes into Nevermore for the first time, so we get to see his beautiful experience at school. Everybody has their own specialty power, and he's new to his own. He's just exploring his newfound teenage powers."
Wednesday season two premieres on Wednesday, August 6, on Netflix.
