The event, observed on June 21, was held in collaboration with the MNRE, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and various other CPSEs and departments. This year’s global theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, resonated deeply with IREDA’s mission of sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Their presence highlighted the government’s strong dedication to embedding wellness practices like yoga into the daily lives of public servants, both professionally and personally.

IREDA’s top leadership was prominently represented by Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director, and Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance). Both senior executives participated in the yoga session alongside their colleagues, reinforcing the value of setting a positive example from the top. At the event, Shri Pradip Kumar Das emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life, particularly for those in demanding fields such as renewable energy and public service. He explained that yoga not only enhances physical health but also improves mental focus and emotional strength—key traits needed to propel India’s clean energy goals. He urged IREDA staff and stakeholders to embrace yoga as a pathway to sustainable well-being and greater professional efficiency.

Furthermore, Shri Das reiterated IREDA’s dual commitment: fostering a workplace culture of holistic wellness and advancing India’s mission to achieve a greener, cleaner future. He emphasized that integrating yoga and sustainable energy development reflects a broader vision where individual health and planetary well-being go hand in hand.

IREDA’s active participation in this national event showcases its alignment with the government’s vision of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam“—the world is one family—underpinning both yoga philosophy and India’s renewable energy roadmap. The celebration not only promoted the timeless value of yoga but also served as a reminder that collective efforts in health and sustainability are essential for a resilient future.

The event concluded with a sense of unity, calm, and renewed commitment to wellness, proving once again that yoga is not merely a practice, but a way of life—one that seamlessly connects the well-being of the self with the health of the Earth.
