Little Millet Poha

Prepared with a blend of simple ingredients, follow these easy steps and add a quick refresh to your breakfast. Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cup little millet flakes
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • ½ cup chopped carrot
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 4 tsp peanuts
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Handful Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt as required
  • Sev to garnish
MethodStep 1: Start by washing the millet flakes and draining the excess water. Add sugar, salt, turmeric powder and cumin powder to the washed flakes and mix everything well. Keep it aside.Step 2: In a pan, add oil and mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter and stir peanuts, chopped onions, carrots and thawed frozen peas. Saute nicely until the onions turn translucent and sprinkle powdered spices.Step 3: Mix everything well and allow it to cook the mixture for 5 minutes. Stir little millet flakes and cook for 4-5 minutes again on a low flame. Drizzle lemon juice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sev for a great crunch. Step 4: Transfer to a serving plate. Serve and enjoy!
