Cong protests against Centre's policies, price hike

Haveri: District Congress committee on Saturday, protested against the union govt's price hike and policies affecting the public, at Hosamani Siddappa Circle. Starting from the Purasiddeshwara temple, protesters marched along MG Road to their destination. District unit president Sanjeevkumar Neeralagi pointed out that despite reduced international crude oil prices, domestic fuel and gas cylinder costs have only increased. He noted the govt's inadequate funding for Upper Bhadra project and expressed optimism towards Congress' victories in upcoming local elections. KPCC state general secretary MM Hiremath, HUDA chairman SFN Gajigaoudar, former ZP president Kotreshappa Baseganni, HESCOM corporation chairman Ajjampir Khadri, and others were part of the protest.
